Personal Statement

My role of an English Language Teacher has involved teaching students how to: use various techniques for acquiring new vocabulary, use correct pronunciation through modelling, phonetics and identifying correct stress and intonation patterns; compare and contrast grammar tenses; write using correct spelling, grammar, structure and punctuation; use good questioning techniques; use listening and reading skills for various purposes; practice speaking fluently about a wide range of topics. The role has also required: grading communication skills and allocating classes;correcting spelling, grammar, structure and punctuation for all college student's pre-tests, organising students for working individually, in pairs and groups, writing lesson plans and academic records; maintaining student files; researching books, and the Internet for relevant teaching materials; printing and photocopying learning materials; greeting and welcoming new students; maintaining a good rapport with them and staff.


Other Skills and Hobbies

I enjoy working out (gym, running and swimming), playing music (guitar and singing); and learning about nature, history and world cultures.
